"The Guardians" is my final year project, which is a story about a doctor and nurse.
In a hospital, there are a doctor and a nurse who have very busy working lives. They have a music box that has a pair of knights on top of it. The knights resemble the doctor and nurse in a war where they have to fight the sickness. The knights have to save the trapped patients in the battle world.
Unfortunately, under heavy stress in the workplace, the nurse falls seriously ill. The doctor was also overwhelmed by work. The knight sacrificed himself for saving the doctor. Facing the death of the nurse, the doctor feels depressed. But luckily, the nurse reminds the faith in the doctor. The doctor determines to continue her vocation.
In the project, my main duty was designing the character. I was tasked with a lot of sketches and testing because we wanted characters that were like the American illustration. The first version looked like the Japanese style, so I keep changing the design. Finally, I can overcome the problem and drawing the characters who do not like the Japanese style. I also worked on the in-between, coloring, and compositing. Â
